This is due to the growing ageing population. Chinese Government has been actively involving social forces in the elderly industry development. Private and foreign capitals have been pouring into the elderly care market in China.

Taiping Senior Living management industry Co., Ltd (referred to as TPSM), established in July 2015, is China Taiping Insurance Group's professional Senior Living industry investment and asset management subsidiary, headquartered in Shanghai. TPSM is the second senior living industry investment management platform company of domestic insurance industry, which is established with the approval of the CIRC. The main business scope includes senior living industries investment, construction and operation management, asset management, and senior living industry related to health and medical investment business, etc. At the end of 2016, TPSM has invested 4 projects on development and management of aged care and health, aged care reserves of about 5200 beds, all kinds of property management reserves of more than 400,000 square meters and total assets under management of about 3 billion yuan.

CHINA AID is one of the largest and most established exhibitions of senior care in Asia, incorporating multiple platforms for product demonstration, service showcasing, knowledge exchange and networking prospect. As a leading trade show, CHINA AID 2017 enjoys strong participation from overseas and this year it features 327 exhibitors from 18 countries of regions, with a floor space of 25,000 square meters, attracting 40,458 professional visitors. Japanese, French, British and Taiwanese exhibitors featured state-of-the-art elderly care products and services displayed in their pavilions. It is the must-attend event for growing businesses in the fast-developing senior care industry in China, providing foreign companies establishing their presence with serious business opportunities.
